Good eco news
Since this summer, the Amsterdam city council has banned cruise ships in the historic center of the Dutch capital! This new measure reinforces the city's sustainable ambitions and is part of the fight against mass tourism , which has already been underway for several months. In fact, every year, more than a hundred cruise ships drop off thousands of tourists in the city.
Highly polluting and symbols of mass tourism which greatly disturbs locals, cruises do not comply with the flow and pollution reduction charter adopted by the city. Thanks to this ban, Amsterdam should therefore be able to (re)become calmer, cleaner and more pleasant!
