Good eco news

In June, Australia announced the expansion of its marine protected area around Macquarie Island. The ambition of the Australian government is to triple the area of the existing park so that it is now as big as... Spain! This area will be completely closed to fishing, mining and other extractive activities. Thanks to this project, almost half of the country's maritime areas should be preserved !

Eco tips

Who says summer then says sunscreen ! But not just any sunscreen, no, a sunscreen that is both good for you and the oceans ! Indeed, although it often seems trivial, the choice of sunscreen is in reality not at all. And for good reason: every year, 25,000 tonnes of sunscreen with chemical components that pollute coral reefs and underwater species are dumped into our oceans. We must therefore favor mineral filters as well as natural and biodegradable components as much as possible . This is why we love the brand Seventy One Percent , all of whose products are vegan, made in France and contained in recycled and recyclable packaging . We fell in love with their 100% natural Eco Sun Spray SPF50 !

Good green deed

It is often the small gestures that make the big difference. Starting with supporting committed and engaging associations like Clean my Calanques ! This Marseille association , created in 2017, campaigns for the preservation of the environment and has aims to raise awareness among the entire population of environmental issues. How ? By cleaning the creeks of Marseille and by intervening in schools and businesses ! Today, more than 52,210 kilos of waste have already been collected, and more than 5,000 young people have been educated in class!

For those who live in Marseille, you can participate in the depollution sessions by registering voluntarily just here . And for others, you can support the association, even from a distance ! Go here to find out more.
