Going against the trend of fast fashion which encourages excessive consumption, we only offer 5 collections per year . To bring you something new more often, we sometimes split a collection into two releases.

By proposing a reasonable collection rhythm, we do not encourage overconsumption but rather thoughtful and responsible purchasing. The idea is to consume less but better .

3. The choice of eco-responsible materials

Producing little is good, producing with eco-responsible materials is even better!

We select our materials carefully so that they are eco-responsible.

A so-called eco-responsible material is a material that has a low impact on the planet. It can be local, recycled, low water consumption or even sustainable.

4. The importance of the short circuit

In addition to being made from eco-responsible materials, our models are made in France or Portugal, in factories with which we have worked since our beginnings, using only European materials (Spain, Portugal, Italy, France)! In addition, they are transported to our warehouse in Bordeaux by truck.

From the raw material, through its transformation, then the manufacturing of the garment and finally its storage, a garment can travel up to 65,000 km! With European production only, we are proud to significantly reduce those miles. 🚐

Europe

Because our lace and garment factories are located in Europe, we can visit them regularly and ensure the quality of their work and their environment. For these journeys, we use the train or the car, and avoid plane journeys as much as possible. For example, for a trip to Milan to our lace factories, we opt for the train. We take the opportunity to admire the magnificent landscape in the heart of the mountains: something to feast your eyes on!

5. Expert, committed and hand-picked partners!

Our factories, partners and employees share our values and are close to us. They are all experts in their field, proof!

Milan, ITALY - collaboration since 2019

Lace

As the raw material for our creations, at Nénés, lace is not left to chance. All our lace is designed and made in Italy in the Milan region, from recycled fibers, in family workshops with unique know-how. And because fashion goes away and comes back, they are sometimes inspired by old lace kept warm for years.

Both artistic and technical, lace is a complex fabric with multiple possibilities, hundreds of threads and a particular weave, perfectly mastered by our workshops. Woven on ultra-precise machines, our laces are durable and therefore ever more eco-responsible because, beyond their manufacturing and composition, they are manufactured, tested and carefully controlled.

Lisboa, Portugal - collaboration since 2019 Paião, Portugal - collaboration since 2023

Lingerie and swimsuits

To make our lingerie and swim sets, head to Portugal to our partner factories that are very knowledgeable on the subject!

Making women's underwear is quite an art: the material is delicate, the cuts are meticulous and difficult to make and the manufacture of a bra, for example, requires assembling several dozen pieces, which is not can only be done by hand. These factories have been specialists for several decades. From cutting, to patterns, including prototypes and manufacturing, this is where a lot is at stake.

The fashion designers and their nimble fingers assemble the different fabrics, parts and accessories (straps, clasps, handles, frames, elastics, etc.) to bring our products to life. Each step is carried out by hand: from the pattern to final quality control. The operators are endowed with unique know-how, which they apply to perfection with great precision.

EPERNAY, FRANCE - COLLABORATION SINCE 2023

But these are not the only factories producing our lingerie... Since 2023, we are proud to work with a French factory in Epernay, to relocate part of our production to France.

They too have real expertise and know-how since 1962! No less than 90 people work on the site, including 50 operators who make the underwear.

Both a manufacturing and development factory, this factory is expert in cuts and sizes. She even internalizes training in sewing and different operations to perpetuate this know-how in France. It is alongside them that we are developing a range of underwired bras with even more precise sizes to suit each breast!

Porto, Portugal - in collaboration since 2021 & Sao Salvador Do Campo, Portugal - collaboration since 2023

The ready-to-wear

Made between Portugal and France, our ready-to-wear pieces (beachwear and loungewear) are also pampered.

Historically a specialist in children's clothing, one of our Portuguese factories specializes in the softness and durability of the materials it weaves itself. Always very comfortable and durable, these high-quality materials allow us to bring our new desires to life.

It is therefore by working alongside them that we have developed our ready-to-wear range. This is for example where we created our Ana jacket, our Saola pyjamas and our Susan skirt.

We also have a French workshop with whom we have been working since 2019. In addition to allowing us more local production than ever, our Parisian factory offers us the opportunity to reuse stocks of dormant fabrics. Perfect so as not to spoil anything!

7. Durable and guaranteed products

Our models are designed to accompany you for as long as possible. On the one hand, they are timeless that you will never get tired of! On the other hand, we choose the best materials and the best manufacturing.

And finally, we support you even after your purchase. As much on maintenance advice with the adoption of a GUPPY FRIEND washing bag for example, as on the guarantee of our products. And yes, we offer repair for 2 years and offer it for life upon payment.

8. Committed collaborations

At Nénés, we are committed to expanding the range of possibilities. This is why, in May 2023, we launched our first committed collaboration with the Clean My Calanques association.

9. One purchase = one donation

Because every little gesture counts, we are proud to offer a donation to an association with each order placed on our site.

When validating your basket, you have the opportunity to choose between 2 actions that are beneficial for the planet:

WITH CORAL GARDENERS

Planting corals

Coral reefs are one of the most diverse and valuable ecosystems on the planet. We've already lost half of it.

This is why Coral Gardeners has made it its mission to revolutionize ocean conservation. The core of their work revolves around coral reef restoration.

Using the latest techniques and methods, their team of gardeners cultivates and plants resilient corals to revive reef ecosystems. Their goal is to expand restoration worldwide and empower local communities to become coral gardeners as part of a bluer economy.

Thanks to Coral Gardeners, it is possible to adopt a coral and follow its evolution and restoration. Concrete actions with real impact. Their goal by 2025? Reach 1 million replanted corals.

WITH A TREE FOR YOU

To plant trees

Planting trees is one of the best solutions to fight climate change.

Since 2017, the A Tree For You association has been operating tree planting projects equitably in France and around the world, working closely with NGOs and local communities, to maximize both social and environmental aspects of projects.

A Tree for You selects local NGOs and co-constructs projects with them thanks to its committee of recognized, independent and volunteer experts.

Donations are simple and transparent: A Tree for You provides the breakdown of tree prices, the actors on the ground, the work schedule, the geolocation of the plantations, and this for all its projects... They are also traceable: the donor chooses himself where he wishes to plant a tree and, following his donation, integrates a social network dedicated to the project, he receives news about his trees for at least 3 years.
